Join the London Serpent Trio at Shire Hall Museum on Friday 24th May to hear this unique ensemble.

The trio, first founded by early instrument maker Christopher Monk, first performed in a lunchtime concert at St. John’s Smith Square on the 1st April 1976. The traditions of the group have been maintained by the three current members, Nicholas Perry, Andrew Kershaw, and Philip Humphries.

The group will showcase a programme of music that will reflect the wide range of musical idioms that the instrument has utilised over the four centuries since its invention, from classical favourites to ballads and pop songs.

Doors open at 6:45pm, with a bar available to purchase refreshments, before the performance begins at 7:30pm. There will be an interval for this performance.
